Royal Playing Deck • Official game instructions. Standard trick-taking rules apply: follow the suit led when you can. A rank change never grants a card permission to be played as a wildcard.
Setup
Four players, two partnerships. Remove any two non-Spade deuces from the standard deck; retain the 2 of Spades. Add the Big Joker and Lil Joker. Deal all 52 cards, 13 per player.
Spade ranking
Big Joker > Lil Joker > Ace of Spades > King of Spades, continuing down to the 2 of Spades. Jokers count as Spades and must obey the same follow-suit rules; neither Joker has free-play wildcard privileges.
Scoring
Use OG Spades Classic scoring or Quick Match scoring.
