Royal Playing Deck • Official game instructions. Standard trick-taking rules apply: follow the suit led when you can. A rank change never grants a card permission to be played as a wildcard.
Setup
Two players. Use 52 standard cards without Jokers. Instead of dealing normally, build hands by drawing and discarding.
Draw and discard
Alternate turns. Look at the top card: either keep it and discard the next card unseen, or discard the first card and keep the next card. Each turn consumes two cards. Continue until each player has 13 cards; the 26 cards not kept have been discarded.
Play and score
Bid individually and follow suit when able. Spades are trump. Use OG Spades Classic bid scoring, playing to 500 points.
Cut Throat playoff: Last Man Standing
For a tied Cut Throat championship, play one hand of 1v1 Spades. Higher score wins. If tied, play another hand and continue until there is one outright champion.
